Hailing from the beautiful countryside of Plymouth, Devon in the United Kingdom, Sheppard is an entrepreneur, technologist and photographer. After spending 12 years working on cutting edge new web services at Microsoft including the widely acclaimed 'Photosynth' project from Microsoft Live Labs. Sheppard co-founded 8ninths in Sept 2008, a research and development laboratory and start-up incubator headquartered in Seattle, WA.
Primarily a self-taught photographer utilizing digital equipment, technologies and techniques including High Dynamic Range (HDR), Infrared, Lightroom and Photoshop, his work focuses on moments of pause, emotion and beauty in everyday life.
Currently residing in Queen Anne, Seattle. Sheppard grew up surrounded by creative talent. His grandfather an artist and storyteller, mother a dancer and musician, father an engineer and craftsman. With a common theme of expressing themselves through their found mediums for the pure joy of creating and connecting with others, Sheppard continues this heritage in the realm of the digital.

My medium is the digital whether it's software or behind the lens my work reflects my passion to share a glimpse of the world through my eyes and maybe learn a little more about myself and the world by observing what is reflected back.
